The Hole Behind Midnight by Clinton Boomer (e-book on my Kindle). WAY too much fun, reminiscent of Douglas Adams--but with, as my mother would have said, "blue language." VERY blue. No less funny--just a heads-up for anyone for whom that could be an issue.

Darkfever by Karen Marie Morning: Seelie faes, Unseelie faes, a seer who is able to see both, a murder to investigate and a forbidden book that both Fae courts are 'hunting' by any means necessary.

I am just at the beginning but i am really loving it so far.

I even like that the female lead is not the classic tough girl but rises to the occasion with the determination and strenght all the same.

Finally finished Game of Thrones and have started on A Clash of Kings. I am also reading the Outer Temple of Witchcraft by Christopher Penczak.

 Really enjoying the writing style.

Carpathia by Matt Forbeck (ebook on Kindle, from Amazon). The Titanic sinks, the Carpathia is the first rescue ship to arrive--but talk about frying pans and fires. Hee hee hee. Makes me wonder why no one thought of this before, really--but I'm glad it was my friend Matt who did, and ran with it.

I just finished The Night Circus by Ering Morgenstern and i was so awed that I had to pout it all, right away,  in a review for that witchy reading challenge I am partecipating in:

It was just too many feelings and TOO MUCH EVERYTHING...that writing style killed me... so evocative and melanchonic.

I'm reading "The Chrysalids" by John Wyndham, which so far has been fascinating. And "Grimm's Fairy Tales".

As I've gone back to uni for the year i'm reading Aristotle's "Nicomachean Ethics"
I've read most of it before and it's pretty interesting and very readable as far as classical philosophy goes.

Because someone had to restart this thread after the move.  What are you reading, how is it, and would you recommend it?

Right now I'm reading Patrick Rothfuss's 'The Name of the Wind' for an online book club I'm a part of. It's part one of the 'The Kingkiller Chronicle' series, and in the fantasy genre.

I'm very early in, but I'd recommend it so far, it's keeping me hooked!

I'm almost finished reading The Stepsister Scheme by Jim C. Hines. I'm thinking I might start The Way of the Oracle: Recovering the Practices of the Past to Find Answers for Today by Diana Paxson, but I also have these on my to read list:

Divergent by Veronica Roth
The Spindle Hearth: A Sourcebook for Goddess-Centered Living by d. Kate dooley
Living With Ghosts by Kari Sperring
Maledicte and Assassins of Kings by Lane Robins (still!)
and the entire Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce

About halfway through with Tales from the Sustainable Underground.  Hren is an engaging, conversational writer which makes this a fun read.

I've been trying to get everyone I know to read this book. The writing is delectable. I had to stop from drooling on the pages at the way the food is described, to say nothing of the circus itself. The book needs to be made into a movie. It's practically begging to be made into a movie.

I'm about to go away on a family visit for a few days, and I'm taking the Hunger Games trilogy with me.

I just got the first book today.  One of my crew members read it, raved about it, and told me I'd like it.  We'll see how that goes.
