Hi everyone,

Randall said it was ok for me to post and let you all know that I just opened an etsy shop selling handmade jewellery and devotional items (religious jewellery and prayer beads so far - soon to be joined by beeswax candles).

I thought that some of you might be interested in items that I have and I'm more than happy to do custom pieces. I'm also looking for any constructive feedback people might have about layout, photos, items etc. I hope some of you might have time to take a look ;).

Ooh, I already see something I covet... only I'm not (at all!) set up to do online shopping.  Would it be possible to work something else out, or alternately, might you be willing to set something aside until I get a chance to ask my sister if she'll make the online purchase?  (It's the Gifts from the Sea disc earrings, so's you know.)

I'd be happy to work something else out or keep them aside for you, whichever is easiest for you :D. I love those ones too - I was thinking about keeping a pair for myself lol. I use the same disc as the anchor for the Gifts from the Sea prayer beads so I might make some of them for myself instead ...

I'm thinking that what's probably quickest and simplest is getting my sister to handle it, aside from the problem of how you'd know it was her ordering. No, wait, that's not a problem; it's highly unlikely that someone else would want that particular item shipped to an address in Calgary, AB, Canada.

I'll shoot her an email right now - if she replies to say she can't or won't, I'll let you know and we can figure something else out.  Otherwise, if you don't see an order that fits that description in the next few days, it'd probably mean it slipped off her radar before she got a chance to do it; give me a nudge and I'll give her one.

... an order that fits that description....

That is, one shipping to the right destination and including those earrings; it's entirely possible she'll spot something she wants for herself (or not; no way to predict).

I'll watch out for it and let you know when / if it comes in. There's an option to leave a note when you make an order. Your sister could always leave a note that it's for you. But you're right, those earrings to the right destination should be enough of a flag.

I managed to favorite and follow your shop earlier today, but had to run before I could comment here.  I can't wait to see the candles!

LOVE the tree of life pendant and the acorn earrings. Time to grovel to the wicked witch stepmother to buy them for me...

Ditto.

Also, I really love the blue beaded bracelet and the cord bracelet with the little charms woven in.

Question about that last one: Is it ok to get it wet?  That is, in the shower, washing dishes, swimming, etc.?

Oh, and I wanted to say I really like your descriptions of the pieces.

Looks like I've got it. I'll make the earrings up for you today and post them in my way to work tomorrow :). Airmail says it should take about 5 days to reach you so ... Hopefully about a week. Let me know that you get them ok :)

Ditto.

Thanks :). The first lot to go on - probably today or tomorrow will be hand rolled votives. Over the next couple of weeks I should be adding poured votives in glass, scented votives and pillars. If anyone is looking for something in particular let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Question about that last one: Is it ok to get it wet?  That is, in the shower, washing dishes, swimming, etc.?

The cord is waxed so is to some extent water resistant (not water proof though). Over time getting it wet regularly might tighten the cord and could weaken it. Having said that I have one like that which I wear on Cill shifts and it gets wet during those days as I keep it on for the full 24 hours. It doesn't appear any weaker yet and it hasn't snapped. If you (or anyone here) were to purchase one and it did break then I would be happy to replace it or reweave the charms for you.

Thank you :). Descriptions, photos and pricing are things I've been finding tricky.
