I guess I was doing it to keep them in order, and lack of a better idea. :p

Hey, no worries! I was just thinking that when we get further into I for one will be like, "which essay is #11 now?"

Quote
I can name them the way you have suggested in future threads. Do we prefer that I make the new threads, or should we have whoever is ready make one if I haven't gotten to it yet?
I think you are doing a fine job, if you want to keep up with posting them go for it!

I can rename the posts that have already been posted.

I've already been looking at it and going "wait, which order did I end up sticking them in anyway?" :D:

Seems to me that the least-confusing thing would be to have both the essay titles and the numbers.

The essays are not actually numbered in the book, but yes, it might be helpful to number the threads for people who want to join in the discussion later.

I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we read Shad's book and discuss each essay/story. There has been some interest in such a thread, so now's a good time to make it and get back to reading. ;)

Paperback version.

ebook version.

I was just re-listening to the episode of Divine Community that Shad and Veg were interviewed on (it's an awesome podcast, go listen). It reminded me that we were doing a series of threads where we read the book and write up our responses to the essay prompts. The threads are here in the FlameKeeping SIG, starting with KOS. Who's up for continuing with these?

We only got up to the 5th essay, so there's not much to catch up on if you haven't done any yet. Just hunt around the SIG and you'll find them. I better answer #5 today.
