Second line: "paganism, the antithesis of Christianity"...

Sweet Marshmallow Jesus.

Do I have to read any further?  :(

Well, if you go a tiny bit farther, you can experience a brief flare of hope that there might be some kind of sense there, when the author actually cites a passable set of definitions of "pagan".  But it's immediately thereafer clear that he's unable to make any distinction among them; to him, "antitheticality to Christianity" is the overriding umbrella.  Because it's not like anyone who fits any of those definitions could have religious motivations independent of Christianity:rolleye::

It all makes a screwy kind of sense, if one is literalist about Genesis:  while the original relationship between God and Adam & Eve isn't Christian per se, it's a relationship with that (singular, world-creating, Only True) deity, and any relationships humans formed with other purported deities later must by definition represent a rejection of that deity by the descendants of Adam.

One needn't even be full-on literalist (YEC and all that); one need only to consider it to be, in its broad outlines, historic rather than mythic.

Such folks will never be able to perceive pagans - by any possible definition - as anything but rejectors of that deity; it's built in to the foundational assumptions.

As for the "Canada" part, I suspect they're under the impression that if the US gets too "pagan" (or Marxist, or whatever) for their taste, they can flee to the Great North Woodlands, which are still an ungoverned wilderness.  Or something - I'm not sure they consider it beyond "place not subject to US laws and conditions".

No, no, no....

I don't want to read further or farther.... it makes my little brain hurt.

The horror... the horror....
You have my sword
And my shield
And my... um... slacks.

I just skimmed it.

I read the whole thing and loved every second of it! I kept thinking, "Go, paganism!"
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs
