Is anyone a member of Goodreads?

The 2013 Reading Challenge has begun, and I've set a goal of 45 book to read. That is less than one book a week, and I would love to be able to read more than that but I don't think that it's going to be possible for me. Life and work unfortunately get too hectic sometimes...and when I read a book I like to seriously read it and not skim read it.

I'm on there and doing the 2013 Reading Challenge as well.  My goal is 52 books... that I haven't already read.

My goal also refers to books that I haven't read. And my goal is specifically novels, I haven't factored in the non-fiction that I may read. TBH though it is not terribly often that I will re-read a novel. The only ones that come to mind are ones written by Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer and Anya Seton.

I am! Just set my reading goal for 2013, too.

Last year I read 25/100 books. This year I'm setting my goal as 25, seeing as I know I can do that.

My profile is here: http://www.goodreads.com/katjevanloon

Y'all can go ahead and add me as a friend, if you want; it's my public author profile.

(I'm also on LibraryThing and Shelfari, if anyone is there too.)

That's what I thought when I set my goal, too--make it realistic. I saw some people have set their goals at numbers of 100 plus. Wow.

I've set myself a 25-book challenge. I read academic books all day (which I don't usually put on Goodreads), so coming home to another book can be difficult. And I'm dyslexic and read *really* slowly. But I have such a huge number of books unread on my shelves and Kindle that this is a good idea. My profile's here.

Me: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4792834-lo

I set my goal for 15 books. I don't read books so much anymore, as the vast majority of my reading comes from blogs, essays, PDFs, and comics. But I'll give it a go and see how I do. I got lots of books for Xmas and I plan on rereading some Tolkien material (Sil and both Lost Tales, likely) so that will give me a leg up. :]

I hope I found the right Maythe! If so you'll have a request from Jennifer.

We have something in common with the historical novels. Historical ficiton in my one great love :ashamed:

Glad to get to know all of you at Goodreads as well! :lub:

Just picked up a old trashy Harlequin paperback from 1990 entitled "I do, Again" by Carin Rafferty. Wow! Yeah. Silly. Dramatic. Unreal. Not quality literature, but I will finish within the next 60 minutes. Its like a bag of chips. Not the best thing for me, but can't stop myself.
