Lovely! That's five people, now.

If anyone else cares to help with this, they won't be turned down (I figure the more the merrier), but this is certainly enough to be sustainable for quite a long time if need be. (Though I'm hoping we'll get new members before long.)

While I don't yet know which shift will be the vacant one, I can say that the rotation for covering it will be the order in which people volunteered. So, next cycle (the one starting on 22 Mar), it'll be Roc, then Breeze in the following cycle, then Sage, then Garnet, then Aster.

Oh, and, while I'm mostly waiting until next cycle to move people around, I think I will repost the roster for the cycle that starts this evening, to put Karen back on the seventh shift.

This is a repost of the roster for the just-starting cycle, to show that Karen is on the 7th shift. Other roster adjustments will be made next cycle (Morag and Kelly take note: one of you will be moved, and I'd much rather do it based on input from you than arbitrarily).

I'd prefer to stay on the 13th shift as that's my original shift from way back when we first started. However, if Morag feels the same, I'll take the 16th if it's still available.

I'm afraid I have to leave the Cill, so I won't be keeping the 13th shift anymore.

I love tending the flame with all of you, and my relationship with Brighid will continue. However, my relationship with TC is coming to an end. I don't feel right being part of the Cill when I won't be part of the site overall, and to be honest, as social justice is such a huge part of my work with Brighid I don't feel comfortable being part of the Cill here. That's not a judgement on my fellow Cill-mates; I know many of you are concerned with social justice, too, or at least not hostile to it. But TC in general has become a hostile place to social justice, which is why I'm leaving.

I have been struggling with this decision for a few days now, but I am getting very strong feelings from Brighid that leaving the Cill is the right thing to do.

So, thank you for making a place for me here, and for tending the flame with me for so long. It's meant a lot to me and I am truly grateful for the community and friendship I found here.

While I understand your reasons, I'm very sorry to see you leave TC and the Cill. I have learned a lot from you and I value your friendship.

I'm so sorry the current situation here is happening and that it's so painful for so many members. I continue to hope that we, as a community, can find a way through this and grow stronger in the process. If that happens, I hope you might be willing to return.

This is, I suppose, as good a place and time as any to say that I expect more departures. It's possible that I will be one of them, though that's not certain yet. What this means for the Cauldron Cill, especially considering that we are already fewer than a full roster, I don't know.

At this point, things are sufficiently up in the air that no decisions (aside from personal ones like Morag's) are possible; keep on keeping your flames, and watch for further info.

I haven't received any official word of any further departures, so Morag is the only one whose name I've removed this cycle. That leaves us with not one but two vacant shifts to cover; I'm figuring that the plan I previously laid out will still work, but with two people covering a second shift each cycle.

Based on feedback over the history of the Cill, many people seem to quite like it when something like Group Keeping means they're tending the flame for two days in a row, so when I noticed that both of the first pair of volunteers had a vacant shift right next to their own, I let that be my guide for how to handle the roster this cycle (those covering vacant shifts are shown in parentheses). Breeze and Roc, if I'm mistaken in this and it's a problem for you, please let me know, and I'll swap you around.

Next cycle, the vacant 2nd and 16th shifts will be filled by Sage and Garnet; if either of you has a preference, let me know.

That approach meant I've given you the 11th shift, Katbast.

I think this round should start on March 22, not 21? The last roster listed March 21 as the Lady's shift.
