I want to put up a "Identify this tree/plant/bush/whatever" thread, mostly triggered by my attempts to begin some wild foraging (mostly trees) and wanting to know what's what in my neighbourhood/city. I also imagine it could be useful for other people to post in as well.

So... what would it go under? Originally I thought maybe home and gardening, but this thread kind of expands onto property other than what you own. Food and cooking is another possibility, but that seems like it would be a "okay I found something, I've identified it, now how do I cook it?" thing which is related but sort of seperate? Crafts and hobbies is *another* possibility, as is just the general Social Discussions board.

Any suggestions?

I think you will probably be safe in Home and Gardening. If you are looking for help on identifying plants, that's probably where you will get the most.

Sounds like a good place to me as well. The categories in the "social discussion" area should be considered as painted with a broad brush.
