Asatru isn't known as the religion with homework for no reason. ;) Share your recommended resources for all things Asatru and Heathen in this thread, and feel free to tell us a bit about them.

The original of this thread can be found on the previous version of The Cauldron. It is four pages of rock solid information, and I highly suggest you check it out. Click here.

Check out Odroerir, the "fully downloadable journal dedicated to developing, fostering, and distributing scholastic literature solely regarding the reconstruction of the various pre-Christian religious traditions and cultures of Northern Europe."

The journal is available as a PDF.

Northvegr  is a great resource. Its like the Sacred Texts site of Heathen source material.

Really?  So, hey, want to go fishing?  I\'ve got a telescope, and it\'s going to be a dark night, so we should see the fish really well.
...what, I\'m not talking about fishing?  That\'s stargazing?  It\'s all doing-stuff, so it\'s the same thing, right?

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this post (I've been rather interested in Norse paganism and had a real hard time finding information). Anyways this was a major help =]

I would like to add some to the interesting material. The book from Prof. Simek Dictionary of Northern Mythology (Lexikon der germanischen Mytholgie) is nearly a must have as I have never found such a small book such a detailed and profound overview. He is a contemporary writer und so at the height of For anyone who speaks German he has written many more books that are sadly not available in English by now.

I have one. Asgard: Stories tales from Norse Mythology by Mabel H. Cummings and Mary H. Foster. I'm currently on The Poetic Edda: The Mythological Poems.

I found this website today: Norse Mythology, the Ultimate Online Resource for Norse Mythology and Religion.

This looks like a decent lore overview. Lots of links to sources, and interestingly, the webmaster is not Asatru or heathen.
