Greetings to the list
« on: June 08, 2012, 02:14:19 pm »
I'm Seshat Anqet Het Her, a Kemetic priestess, longtime Pagan (if 10 years can count as a long time) and blogger.

My attraction to ancient Kemet became obvious almost as soon as I started research pantheons. I can't say that I 'belong' to a particular neter, however I feel a strong affinity to Seshat and Het-Heru.

My ren (name) was given to me upon initiation into an Afrocentric Kemetic shrine, in Nov 2011. Right now I'm happily networking and researching the Kemetic legacy upon global philosophies and spiritual traditions. I am happy to make everyone's acquaintance!

Em khut en mer,
Seshat

Em hotep and Welcome to the Cauldron.

There are many Kemetics on this board.  Have you seen the Kemetic SIG?

Could you please explain this more?

Do you mean that you were given a religious name within the initiation ceremony?  Or something else?
I am the Goddess of Who I can Become. I mix the magic of the sorceress with the blade of a warrior. I walk the liminal pathways to see the face of the Goddess, both terrible and kind. As She stares back at me, I tremble in awe and ecstasy.  --SatAset

Just so you know: this intro thread is a year and a half old, and the OP hasn't been logged onto TC in almost that long.
