Author Topic: Dr Pryor Hoodoo Powders? (Read 1732 times)

Hi folks,

I was at my local New Age shop and found that they are now carrying a few hoodoo condition powers and the Dr. Pryor brand made by Indio Products: Success, Fast Luck, and Money Drawing.

They usually only carry high quality stuff at this place, so I bought these to check them out. These are the first powders I've actually purchased, and not made, so was surprised to see that they they are extremely finely ground, and all three have the same off-mustard color with no discernible herbs in the mix. They also all three smell very similar, almost like Murphey's Oil Soap.

I usually use my powders in bags, oils, baths, and as incense.

Has anyone ever heard of this brand, or used this brand? Know if they're reputable? I'm afraid that they're basically the same exact item in different packaging.

never heard of that brand.
I prefer to work from scratch,I've noticed hoodoo things for sale tend to be kitschy and touristy at times,so I just avoid them altogether and get the ingredients myself,unless I know for sure.
did you try asking the shop keeps?
the place I buy alot of my stones and oils each yr,they will blather on about the differences etc. when asked. I think they like talking with someone who isn't just looking for fairy statuary or run of the mill incense,lol.
