Pagan Blog Project 2012
« on: January 25, 2012, 11:36:37 am »
A couple of us were talking about the Pagan Blog Project 2012 in chat the other day, and I was wondering who from TC was participating? I also thought a thread might be a good place to share prompt ideas, especially for the tricky letters. (Q or X, anyone?)

I found out about it late, so I'm catching up on posts now. This Friday is only week 4, so there's still plenty of time to join if you haven't and think it looks interesting!

It surely is an interesting idea! It's cool to see how many different articles come out of one letter.

I'm not sure I could keep up on the schedule. I'm also a bit shy when I think of many strangers reading my blog. But I'll sure be reading. :)

I'm doing it!

My biggest fear was figuring out what to write about. To help facilitate, I have signed up for the PBP, I started doing a lot of Google searches for "pagan terminology" and whatnot. That helped me with the "broom closet" entry I did. :)

My big fear at the moment is being really boring and rambly. I just finished my second entry (A is also for Alienation) and I feel like I didn't really make much of a point. :/

I also signed up for the newsletter- hopefully it'll be some help when we get to trickier letters. Though your Google searches are a good idea! I'll have to give that a try.

I think I might do this as well.
The pace of progress in artificial intelligence (I’m not referring to narrow AI) is incredibly fast. [...] The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five year timeframe. 10 years at most.--Elon Musk

I am in the camp that is concerned about super intelligence," [Bill] Gates wrote. "First the machines will do a lot of jobs for us and not be super intelligent. That should be positive if we manage it well. A few decades after that though the intelligence is strong enough to be a concern. I agree with Elon Musk and some others on this and don\'t understand why some people are not concerned."

I felt the same way with my second A post (about augury).

It's done. Scheduled for a minute after midnight tonight.

It's not as awesome as I hoped it would be. =/ The concussion fog is still around, and I'm finding it difficult to type.

But hopefully someone will find something awesome in it?

Here's the link. Should work after midnight PST.
