Newbie Questions - Book and Meditation
« on: November 20, 2011, 11:08:07 am »
Hi everyone
I have a lot of other questions I would like to ask about pagan paths , my recent meditation experiences etc but I would first like to query a book I have recently read.

The book seems to have rekindled my interest in finding my own path and I have started to meditate again and fumble through a lot of web sites to try and find out genuine information which I find difficult to seperate reliable info from misinformation.

This year I went to a local used book store with my wife and I picked up a book by Ted Andrews Enchantment of the Faerie Realm this fascinated me, I would be gratefuk for opinions if this author is genuine and the info in this book is reliable.
Thank You

I've never read the book but Ted Andrews writes A LOT of books on many different subjects. It's hard to believe he is really an expert on all of them.

(He passed fairly recently - couple years ago.  Google tells me 2009.)

The Celt had the impression that Andrews was good at a couple of things (backed up by the time we did a workshop with him at PantheaCon), but sold well, and thus Llewellyn got on his case to write a whole bunch of other stuff to try to capitalise on that name rec.

That would not surprise me at all. From the books I've glanced through, he seemed like a competent writer, so I suspect the books on subjects hr really knew are pretty good.

Hi
Thanks for the responses.
I enjoyed the book read it with an open mind etc and I guess I need to do some more research on the topic before I can really assess its content but I did enjoy the reading it.
I will try to compose my questions about meditation over the next day or two as I find it difficult to explain things and may sound a bit stupid.
