Hello everyone and thank you for allowing me to join the forum. I look forward to reading, discussing and learning (and hopefully being able to contribute).

I am 28 and a lifelong resident of the beautiful state of Alabama. I love the outdoors, especially the mountains and woods. My hobbies and interests include, to name just a few: herbal medicine, sewing, history, reading and traveling.

I was raised with a combination of Christianity and Native American beliefs. My mother was a devout Christian and my father practiced Native American spirituality. I was encouraged in both and forced into neither. At 9 yrs old I went into foster care and remained there until adulthood, where I was immersed in Christianity.

I am now to a point of overcoming the fear of going to hell for as little as even questioning things, and am stepping out onto the ledge of questioning what I have been told and trying to find my own path. It can be so frustrating, but I am trying to practice patience and just do what feels right.

I hope to get to know many of you here who have walked a similar road and I am very open to contact from anyone who would like to talk.

Thanks again and I look forward to having a place to discuss my journey without being chastised.
