Well I know how I'll be spending the next few hours....

So... I've been wanting to try an RPG and this one looks amazing.

I highly recommend Pathfinder if you're looking into tabletop RPG.  You can make it as simple or as complicated as you want.  It's basically a better version of D&D version 3 (though the most recent D&D version 5 is actually pretty good).  Pathfinder is huge, I prefer the simplified math, and it has a HUGE following and library, as well as large homebrew support for making your own worlds/races/etc.

So...I bought another tarot deck.  This one.

I have three already (gave 2 away that no longer worked for me), two oracle decks, and a lenormand.

My etsy wishlist consists of 23 additional decks I want with varying degrees of desperation.  I'm thinking this one might be next.  I guarantee I'll own a few more before summer, because I am weak.

Please tell me I'm not the only one?

I looove the backing to the Mayhem deck, that is boss as hell.

I cut down my tarot collection, so I think right now I only own twelve or thirteen decks right now. The last deck I bought was the Wild Unknown - I'd been eyeing it for ages but I'd been resisting because it felt like everyone and their dog was using it, but I finally caved. I'm glad I did; I've been reading for 20 years now (!!!) and as such I have a tendency to find Ride-Waite-Smith derivatives a bit same-y. This deck is quite unlike most of the others I own so it is forcing me to use parts of my brain that are not rooted in "X means Y because tradition."

A benefit of having many decks is that you can host learn-to-tarot nights very easily!

So I've decided my next deck is going to be the Arthurian Tarot. I love the art and I love the Arthurian legends.

On Aeclectic here.

(I really do want to encourage people to link to decks on Aeclectic rather than Amazon - not only does Aeclectic generally have better pics, it also has multiple where-to-buy links, usually including several Amazon links for different parts of the world, so it's more useful when, f'ex, someone in the UK recs a deck that someone in the US is interested in. Because TC has an international membership, that comes up quite a bit.)

My friend has these (and 3 other art-nouveau decks)!  They are even nicer in person - the colors and the cardstock, all of it.

The deck is all that and more.  I have no words for how eerie and powerful this deck is.  It pulls no punches and does NOT play games.  It's actually an oracle deck, which works out fine for me, and it kinda knocked my socks off for the last three days.

That's a whole different kettle of worms - I wasn't even aware of how many deck designers were distributing via Etsy stores until you posted several! But, links to the deck's or the designer's own site (whether on Etsy, or on their own domain) generally have many of the same advantages that Aeclectic links do - no reviews, but often more card pics, and usually if the deck available for purchase via other sites, links for choosing a preferred vendor are available. And I'm kind of a fan of buying directly from the creator when it's possible (one of the things I like about Aeclectic is that they often have a link to the creator's/deck's home website).

So Etsy shops and sites specific to the designer and/or deck are definitely also good choices to link to (as are crowdfunding sites for crowdfunded decks!) - I'm definitely not saying Aeclectic is the only acceptable place to link.

THIS.  Buying it from someone who made it usually means they get really excited about feedback as well.

I've formed a few friendships just from keeping in touch with the designers.  Decks act differently for different people, and for some designers, it's like letting go of their children and sending them out into the world.

Just picked up the Hudes Tarot at an eclectic shop about ninety minutes from my house. I love all things medieval, and I tend to go for less bright, happy-skippy decks, so this one suits me. It's apparently an older deck; it's not available directly from Amazon and I'm not sure where you'd get it online, but while it's pretty directly RWS inspired the major Arcana are particularly beautiful. Aeclectic's images are a little washed out; the colors are a lot deeper.

I'll give you the moon card as I'm particularly fond of it:

Looks like a lovely deck! I ordered the Aquarian Tarot myself. I like the vintage feel of it.

So, I read Adventures in Woo Woo on the regular, so I've known the author put out an oracle deck some time ago. To be honest I didn't much notice it until this cropped up.

Aaaaand now I think I have to buy it.

Okay, I hadn't seen that before but it looks really interesting. I may need to poke around there some. Thanks for linking it.

Not at all! I have 6 "decks" (the Egyptian Scarab Oracle is more reminiscent of runes), one tarot and the rest oracle decks.

My hands-done favorite is the Earthbound Oracle, but I definitely want more.
