Mom is in hospice
« on: December 09, 2016, 03:38:21 pm »
She went for a CAT scan earlier today. My brother, aunt, and cousin took her, and they took her when it was time.

I knew it was coming, but a part of me hoped it wouldn't be this soon.

I love a good metallurgical take on the phrase "What the F---?"

Mom died this morning sometime after 11 am. She was in no pain. She passed peacefully.

Seven years she fought that cancer. She worked, too, never let it stop her until the last month or so. She worked even as the chemo left her tired and a bit confused. She didn't stop fighting to get scholarship money for students who needed it.

Christmas Eve was her favorite holiday. I guess it's only fitting she passed into the next world on this day.

We'll miss you, Mom. May Hecate guide you safely to the Other Side and may those who went before you welcome you (and may you all feast on crab sauce and other goodies tonight).

A thousand of bread (with crab sauce!)
A thousand of beer
A thousand of every good thing
May she ascend.

And may you be comforted. (((Wanderer & family)))
