I should know better than to assume they follow the book.  just reread the wikipedia synopsis and well........

Maybe I shouldn't have read the book and tried to see the movie.  But the part that irritates me the most is the ending.

I assume by this comment that the movie's ending is different from the book's?

Did they change it a lot? The end was the best part of the book for me

From what I'm reading now, they completely changed it and not in what I would consider a good way.

I really hate when film makers do that. I understand the need to condense books to fit into a film, or the need to combine characters or locations but, in my opinion, the plot should pretty much stay the same. Which is why I rarely watch adaptations when I've read the book.

See, I liked it when the bad guy just sort of turns around and say (posthumously) "I wouldn't actually kill half the population.  what did you think?  Shhesh,  birth control.  "

I warned a coworker, then when she said she hadn't read the book, then I was like 'yeah, if you liked davinci code and angels and demons, you'll like inferno.  Just don't go and read the book before you go."

That's the one Langdon book I haven't read.  I wonder why they didn't adapt The Lost Symbol.

haven't read that one yet.  maybe it doesn't have the same excitement possibilities of plague, or atomic weapons or the mona lisa.

I do plan to read it though.
