The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum

I'm posting this in hopes of hearing from others who have worked with Aphrodite. I'm trying to understand what She might be asking of me. Any resources that have helped you understand Her better would also be appreciated. Hopefully this is the right board, if not please move this thread.

About two months ago I had an urge to spend a day learning about and honoring Aphrodite. It culminated in a small ceremony during which I had a very powerful, very personal experience. Since then and especially these last few days I seem to be unable to get Her off my mind! When I was in Boston over this weekend I went to the Museum of Fine Arts and wandered through the Greco-Roman exhibits finding and taking pictures of images of Her. I virtually wake up thinking of Her and that's led me back to this board to make this posting. Candidly speaking, this is probably the first time in my life I've ever felt this strong of a demand of attention from a deity.

A week ago I was meeting with my group and I said something to the effect of "I'm not sure what Aphrodite would want from me." That seems to have made the demand for attention even stronger.

I have an idea that She may want me to address some personal issues in my life that have gone largely ignored. It's a bit difficult to talk about. Anyone who's worked with Aphrodite, I'd appreciate hearing what the experience was like and hopefully clarify things.
