I'm new here and wasn't sure where to post this. My mother bought me a pendant and I'm not exactly sure what it's from or what it means. I love it and it really speaks to me but I'd like to know the actual origin. I've always worn an ankh and birds are some of my favorite symbolism (I have many bird tattoos

).

I have attached a picture. I know it's in bad taste to wear something that I don't know what it is, so hopefully someone here can help me out.

It looks to me like a faux-gothic ankh.

I don't think it's from anything. It looks like an ankh that has had the arms changed into tribal wings and the lower part made more decorative. Perhaps your mother chose to get you a gift that combines two of your favorite things, ankhs and birds.
