Impossible Love
« on: January 01, 2016, 04:48:49 pm »
Impossible love is love that for one or more reasons cannot be fulfilled.  As someone who is currently struggling with this, I've been researching why this happens and what to do with this type of love. In my research I found a belief that perhaps this love is a projection on oneself onto another person and that the qualities we find so dear in the object of our affection are qualities we also possess but are unaware of.  Another way to deal with this is to simply be grateful for that person's existence, for they make our world a better place. I wanted to make a post about this, in case anyone else is going through the same, or perhaps has been through it and has some wisdom to share with us.

I like this.

I'm struggling with this right now.  I broke up with my girlfriend last month and it's been hard on me.  She decided to come out of the closet and is now living as lesbian.  Now I'm faced with the reality that what we had together was never going to work because of this secret she kept and it is an "impossible love".

Pain. All you can do is muddle through.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

That sounded way too negative, because I left out the important last act: You WILL get through it, rest assured.
