I was wondering if anyone could recommend some books on Celtic mythology/gods and goddesses as well on Celtic religions. I know this is the direction I'm supposed to be going in, but I have no idea where to start as my knowledge base is SUPER slim and what I do have comes from Internet searches (worried about the reliability of that information...).

'Celtic Gods and Heroes" by Marie-Louise Sjoestedt is an excellent book as is the one already mentioned.

We used to have a resource database in the Hazel & Oak SIG ( our Celtic Polytheism SIG), but, for some reason, it's no longer accessible.

Since that's not available, I'd recommend the reading list on the CR FAQ (http://www.paganachd.com/faq/readinglist.html). It's a very good and comprehensive list (although a few books have come out since this list was published), with some important annotations.

Actually, the rest of the FAQ might interest you, as well, if you're new to Celtic mythology and spirituality.

And, you're right, there's a LOT of unreliable info out there.  But these 3 resources will give you a fantastic start.
