Suggestions for soft-sides cat carriers?
« on: March 24, 2015, 12:34:08 am »
Our hard-sided carriers are getting on in years (at least 15 years, in one case). We're thinking about soft-sided, but we're not sure what-all to look for.

Any suggestions on type/brand/whatever? Both our current girls are around 10-12 pounds (give or take).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/cautions/etc.

They're a bit spendy, but I am a huge fan of Sleepypod pet carriers. The workmanship is great and it's clear that a lot of thought went into the design. There are a few different models to meet various needs such as urban travel, air travel, etc.

I've heard good things about the I Go2 carriers; in fact, we're thinking about replacing our current soft-sided carrier with two of these, one for each boy.

We have different (discontinued) version of that carrier and we really like it. Very convenient if you have to carry it over a long distance. I can also put my hiking bag cover on it when it rains.
