I couldn't resist the allure of launching this into the world during the solstice-new moon double whammy. And since I can't afford a live-action launch party, I think having a cyber one here with Cauldronites during UAN is the next best thing--and maybe even a little better!

Just got my copy in, and I am pumped to read it! I'm spending tonight online amd meditating, but tommorrow will no doubt see several hours devoted to it. Even at first glance, the book seems wonderful. The symbol on the cover alone seems to just drip meaning.

Erh. Might wind up having to mop up some of the meaning off the floor...

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying it. I've been working on it for so long, with very limited feedback, that it became hard to gauge how others would react to it.

I'm positively *adoring* it, to the point that I almost feel like I can reach out and touch the gods in it. You've done a wonderful job.

It does, well beyond the simple correspondences of gods to symbols. But I'll leave that for you to discover.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

I snagged the e-book, but wouldn't mind a physical copy.  :D:

I wrote a book!

It's called Songs of the Metamythos, and if you've ever wondered what myths born today might look like--who these gods are, and what truths their stories might tell--this is for you. There's also a secret woven through the book, which I challenge anyone to decipher.

But rather than bore you with a lot of talk, you can see for yourself at the book's very visual website:

http://www.SongsOfTheMetamythos.com

The book is available in both print and e-book formats from Amazon. Also note that for a limited time for Cauldron members, I'm offering Songs of the Metamythos for free. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks!

I'm really enjoying it so far. It's very powerful. The first myth really unsettled me for some reason. I had to walk away for a few hours. You, sir, are a great storyteller. :)

Me too (I'm not a professional writer).  Do you get decent royalties through Amazon?  Is it better for you if I buy the book or the paper copy, since I can make the choice.

You guys are the greatest. Paper, I guess...but seriously, the most important thing right now is to get the word out as much and as soon as possible. So I'd much rather you take a free copy now, read it, post a (no doubt glowing!) review on Amazon, and tell all your friends, than have you save your pennies to buy it later.

Then if you're feeling guilty, you can always buy a copy at some point down the line, and give it to a friend.
