The moon
« on: December 07, 2014, 07:57:09 pm »
I have always felt a very strong connection to the moon. Not quite sure why, but it's like I come alive when the sun goes down and the moon rises. I strongly prefer to stay up as late as I can at night, and then sleep the majority of the day. Is anyone else like this? Do you know why? I have often wondered why I am that way. When I was younger, my mom tells me I would often look up in the night sky and start talking. When she asked me what I was doing, I would say "talking to the man in the moon." Is this normal or am I a freak?

S'void, Losty, if you post so much your first day you'll burn out fast. Seriously, this is probably every forums most common manner of losing newbs. Slow down, wait for replies, google things first.

To answer your question, beng a night owl and loving the moon are common among romantics and dreamers. I used to personify the moon as a graceful medieval lady. Even swore to serve her as a knight, believe it or not. Imaginative kid, I was.

The moon has been subject of millions of songs, poems, artworks. It has an enduring, primal connection to the human spirit.

So, yes, normal.

If you like. Don't let it discourage you from posting, though. Just advice from what I've seen.

My mother tells me when I was a little kid I used to sing to the moon. I'm sure it was super annoying.

I used to be 100% a night owl, but now I am old and work a relatively normal work week, so.

I'm a Satanist. We're not sweet.

We're scary.

And tough.

And metal.

I'll be in the OTHER corner with the absinthe if you want some. *FLOUNCE*

I dated a Satanist in my 20s who looked like Marc Bolan with a unibrow. But he was pretty metal.
