Offerings for Slavic and Baltic Deities
« on: October 05, 2014, 12:42:05 pm »
Hey, what offerings do you guys give the gods you honor? What do you find to be more specific to a god or do you have any stand-by generic offerings?

Bread tends to be a regular stand-by offering for me, especially if I can get a nice loaf from somewhere. I know that I've gotten encouragement from Veles to give him traditional foods from Eastern Europe and I think Mara might like it too. I also offer Veles acts of magic as offerings and other things I feel he might enjoy. Mara gets cut flowers every so often. Both also get shiny things from time to time that live on their altars.

I usually go with bread, salt and caraway seeds as my standard offering, otherwise it depends on what I've been baking and such.
