All my dutch history books and al my history classes.
I could be wrpng but i have never seen any mention of Norse paganism anywhere in my country.

The more correct term may be Germanic paganism.

Thrak, as I said before, I am not claiming that Norse tradition was the only one in the Netherlands, nor that it was the largest, and I don't think anyone is claiming that. I was just refuting your claim that it did not exist at all. I am well aware that there was more than one tradition/religion available.

My understanding is that Germanic includes Norse, but is not limited to Norse. Is that right? (I did google it, but being told would help). I definitely keep finding that Germanic is/was a thing in Holland, but oddly haven't found anything about Celtic branches (yet), or much about Greco-roman influences (although I have seen a bit, so I probably just haven't explored that direction enough yet).

... but then, around that time, there wouldn't really have been a specifically Dutch population.

Surely their descendants would still be there? If DNA samples were to be taken in the areas were the different tribes used to live, then I’m sure they would find lots of matching DNA of those tribes amongst the indigenous Dutch population in those areas.
