NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - An artist in Bushwick, Brooklyn is charging $1 per day to anyone who wants to rent his 'jail cell' complete with 24-hour surveillance.

Why? I do not understand why anyone would rent a jail cell.  The police will put you in one free of charge.

What if the artist does not come back?  Besides I pay enough for the one bedroom deluxe cells I have.

I went to Google to find the article you are referencing here, since I did not see a link.

And, I'm assuming, what Veggie said.

I also found another news article that has some more information: there will be a livestreaming feed of the cage to the public.

I'd also assume that since people have to enter agreements and there will be exchanges of money, more than likely there will be someone as an emergency contact which can work both ways. This doesn't look like the work of someone doing it for shits and giggles and just abandons someone in a cage.

Where else in New York can you get a place to stay for a $1/day?

Was this meant to be directed at me?

While I like Heinlein's writings, I do not agree with his position in this quote.
